Farmer Benno is a real tyrant: he runs his stately farm with a heavy hand. Housekeeper Lisa and his son Fiete have nothing to laugh about. Of course, Benno also wants to decide who Fiete marries. A strong farmer's daughter from the village is the answer. The only problem is that Fiete has already secretly become engaged to Katharina - and she is not from the village, but a pretty girl from Hamburg. How is he supposed to tell his father that? Bangbüx Fiete doesn't dare face the truth, and then Katharina suddenly appears on the doorstep. In order to save the family peace, Katharina and Lisa devise a ruse together: Katharina becomes Trina, the girl from the city becomes a maid. But everything turns out differently than expected. The old farmer succumbs to the charm of the young woman - and now wants to marry her himself?!
